An attempt at digital

I won the 2peas trivia one day in February and was awarded with a $10 credit towards to store (thanks!). This does make me *want* to spend in their store, but the shipping is actually a little outrageous. So, I purchased $11 worth of digital kits (2 little kits and an embellishments kit - which I haven't figured out how to use yet). Creating my first digi kit wasn't the easiest to do (especially because I'm pretty much PSE retarded), but I'm glad I've tried it. I'll stick to traditional scrapbooking for sure, but I may print some embellies out and incorporate them.

So, here's a look at my first one. I'm definitely not loving it (by any means), but it's not bad for the limited "supplies" that I had.

Webster's Pages

Okay, isn't this line gorgeous. I'm so hoping I can get my hands on this soon! I'd love to use it for the "MOM" mini-album I'm making - it's so feminin and beautiful (just like her), so I think it'd be perfect. Now I'm just hoping that my LSS carries it!

Finally, some LO's!

Welcome to February! I love this month - mainly because of all of the red and pink colors everywhere. And I also love Valentine's Day dinners!

As promised, I am posting some of my recently completed LOs.

Also, here's my week one of P365. I love this so far, and I'm hoping I can keep up with it all year round!

Question for you peas...

Hey ladies! If there are any peas reading this, I'm just wondering if the 2peas site is working for you. I haven't been able to access it in a couple of days. Just wondering if it's happening to everyone, or if for some reason I've been singled out.

Thanks!

ETA: I'm back up and running. Woo hoo!

And as a side note, I've finished me 20 for $20. Go me!

Pictures for P365

I've completed my first week of P365 and I love the way it turned out. But because of the 2peas promotion (as noted in the previous post), I will upload in a week or so.

Last night, Josh and I went to his parent's house for Sunday night dinner (which happens almost every Sunday), and of course I grabbed my camera. Josh thought it'd be nice to take pictures of the horses at his parent's house as my POTD (I love how he's so supportive). I let him take the camera and take a few shots.

I also have to include some photos of my lil guy - Brodie. He gets this look in his eyes whenever I take pitures of him, like he knows exactly what's going on, and he's annoyed. The ball he has picked himself. Whenever he needs a new tennis ball, we grab all of the flavors (chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter and mint) and put them infront of him. He picks one up, sets it down, picks up another and sets it down, and he does this for all 4 (and more than once). He finally decides on a flavor and runs away with his new toy. This time he picked mint. I really wish I knew what he was thinking when he was doing this!

Oh, and he looks like a big hairball right now - he definitely needs a shave.

Shout-Outs!

I know I haven't been keeping up to date with this blog, but that's because of 2 peas 20 for $20 (and how you cannot post your layouts on any other site, including personal blogs). But, the promotion is over in about a week, so stay tuned!

Also, because I haven't been on in a while, I just noticed Monica's awesome shout-out on her blog, and I think it's a great idea, so I'll follow suit.

Addictions:
1. My Man
2. Scrapbooking
3. Brodie - my dog, he's just so cute!
4. Online Shopping
5. Photography

Who I picked for fabulous blogs:
1. Monica M
2. Dedra

Jan: Week 1 pictures

Like I said, here are some pictures that I'll be using for my Project 365 album! So, not all of them are glamorous, artistic or exciting, but it's supposed to showcase our daily life.

Project 365

No, I wasn't one of the lucky people who were able to order this kit, which is a total bummer! I tried, and called the number provided (which, btw, is NOT toll free for international customers, so not only did I not get a kit, I paid an hours worth of LD charges *grrr*). I've been reading on Becky's blog that hopefully they'll be able to order more, but it looks like a lot of people who were able to get through yesterday, their orders were lost (who actually knows what went on behind the scenes). So, it may be just as hard to get a kit if they *do* go back on sale. Urgh, so frustrating.

But, there's *some* hope. Click the link to be entered to win your own project!

Now, with that being said, I will be blogging about my 365 project. I will post some pictures and my corresponding journaling on random days. I'd also like to hear what everyone is taking pictures of on any "regular" day, so don't be shy!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful 2008 and I'm wishing everyone an even better 2009.

Lately I've been playing around with the Nikon D80 I received for Christmas. I also went out and purchased a 85mm 1.8 lens, which I'm in LOVE with. I'm just learning how to use the camera, but I'd like to post some pictures. I have no children, so my dog is my 'model', and although he cooperates quite well, I can tell he hates it when I get my camera out =P

And, a Layout. I completed this one a little bit ago but I haven't posted it (anywhere). It documents the hour before we left on our trip to Europe, and me saying goodbye to my dog - 3 weeks was a long time away from him!
