Just poppin' in quickly with a little update. I need to get back outside to enjoy this weather!

Saturday Night

So, tonight is one of the few nights that's absolutely gorgeous - and I'm spending it inside blogging. What gives? The weekend is calling for cool, rainy weather, so I really should be basking in the sun. Oh well, next summer.. right?! ;P So, while we're on the topic of weekends and Saturday nights, what do you have planned for this weekend?

And here's just another random layout. Enjoy!

SOS - August Challenge

This month's challenge over at Scrap Our Stash is to use flowers on your page. I love adding flowers on to my layouts, and lately I have been making a lot of them. They're definitely easy and cheaper than going out and purchasing some. Here's my layout and to make the flower I just used 2 circle punches (different sizes) and a brad (or in my case, an American Crafts button). For the base of the flower I used a 2.5" punch and for the petals I used a 2 1/8" punch.

And, here's a close-up of the flower:

Escape to a Pizzeria

I decided to stay home this weekend instead of going to the lake. The weather has been pretty crappy this summer, so I was hoping that I wouldn't be missing out on chilling in the boat and instead I'd be able to get things done around the house (which includes scrapping, of course!). Ever since I began working full time, I feel like I have zero time for myself. How you working mothers do it is beyond me!

On Vacation

If you have visited my blog more than a couple of times, you've probably noticed that I love to use sketches. Heck, I'm even on a great sketch design team. I just find that sketches get the juices flowing, especially when you're not feeling very creative. Here's a layout that I completed for the Sketchy Thursdays GDT sketch for September. Wish me luck, and feel free to head to the website to vote for me =)

Yay, I've been featured!

First, I get news that I'm being published in the Decemeber issue of "Canadian Scrapbooker", and now I'm being featured on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog. The layout they chose was this one of my little man, Brodie.

I definitely feel honored, and I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Imaginisce Sketch

First off, I want to say how much I absolutely love the B-Day Bash collection from Imaginisce. It's so fun and the embellies are to die for! Also, I incorporated the August sketch that's on the Imaginisce blog. The sketch was created by the uber amazing Sarah de Guzman. I seriously visit her blog daily for inspiration, funny stories and adorable photos of her pups.

Sketchabilities - Sketch # 22

It's that time again! Sketch # 22 was released over at the Sketchabilities blog, and here it is:

And here's my interpretation:

If you're in a bit of a creative slump, using a sketch is a great way to get those juices flowing, so come and play along!

Love Blooms

It's been super rainy and overcast here, so I haven't been able to get any photos of my layouts. It's a bit of a PITA (I wish I had a scanner I could figure out, LOL), but it'll do for now. One day I'll buy a good scanner (any recommendations?)!

Life's a Beach

I'm finally scrapping some recent summer pictures. And by recent, I mean from a little over a month ago. But, I don't think it gets more recent than that for me! These photos are from our family reunion. It's nice to finally have photos of my little cousins to scrap, because I've been itchin' to use all the cute papers!
