Enjoy Today

Happy Saturday! Not much is going on here this weekend. I have a birthday to go to tonight and then going to check out a house tomorrow, but nothing too crazy. What's everyone else up to?

I have a confession to make - I don't really use my Studio Calico kits to their full extent. I absolutely love and adore them, but for some reason they're not the first thing I reach for when I start to scrap. So, I told myself that the next layout needed to utilize a SC kit. So, here's my latest!

Snow Cute

If you've been having weather like us, you're probably cold and snowed it. Not so great for anything related to the outdoors, but perfect for those scrappy projects that have been left on the back burner!

I've been busy this weekend planning a baby shower (it's in 2 weeks, and it'll be super cute!), so I only managed to finish one page. But, it's as adorable as my puppy, so I'm satisfied!

Sketch: Sketchy Thursday's Feb. DT sketch

Patterned papers: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy)
Alphas: American Crafts (Thickers) & Basic Grey alpha stickers
Embellishments: EK Success Snowflakes & Misc. buttons

Make A Wish

I heard that Michael's was clearing out a select few of their Cricut carts, so I had to check it out. There wasn't much left at mine, but I was able to pick up "Birthday Cakes". This cart is meant for the Cricut Cake machine, but those carts work with any of the Cricuts (except the Imagine, I believe). And for $9.99, how could I not?

Patterned papers: Echo Park
Baker's Twine: Jillibran Soup
Cricut Cark: Birthday Cakes

Italian Artifacts

I know that we're only 4 days in to January, but I'm already taking my OLW to heart. I've blogged 3 times so far this month - and for me, that's better!

Here's a layout that I made of our trip to Pompeii. The photos of the vases are a few of my favorite, so I was just waiting for the inspirtation to scrap them.

Dinner Date

Studio Calico, how I love thee. But, I haven't been able to play with a kit for a few months now because of this thing they call a job (who needs that, anyways?), so it was definitely refreshing to dive into the December kit. The Making Memories paper is awesome - you should run out and buy some if you haven't had the chance!

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

Happy new year everyone - hope you all enjoyed a fantastic holiday season!

Is anyone doing Ali's OLW for 2011? I'm not sure if I'm going to, but I did decide on a word: Better. I want to become better at everything (or try to, at least). In scrapbooking, I want to become a better photographer (of my subjects and the actual layouts), become better when it comes to journaling, and be better at updating my blog! So, we'll see how this goes. What's your OLW?

Now here's a layout that I completed during the holidays. The photos were taken in Sorrento, Italy, and the view from our balcony was stunning - hence the title.
